Rod's continued experiences in the real world give him a fresh perspective on life's challenges and God's grace. Session 4 - Tuesday, August 2, 10:45 AM
Dino Rizzo - Pastor (Healing Place Church)
Dino Rizzo and his wife DeLynn started Healing Place Church in 1993 with the single focus of being a healing place for a hurting world. Starting with just 12, it has now grown to over 7,200 people gathering every week in eight locations from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Maputo, Mozambique.
Healing Place Church has been listed as one of America’s Top 25 Most Innovative Churches. That innovative drive is expressed in a passion to serve the poor and hurting – wherever they are, and whatever it takes.
Rizzo’s book “SERVOLUTION” exposes his passion to see believers join together in a revolution of serving others – Jesus style. He co-founded the Association of Related Churches, a growing group of Close churches devoted to planting hundreds of new churches across the country. He is a strong believer in the irreplaceable value of the local church – in the USA and across the globe. He also believes that as believers we can do more when we are together, leveraging each other’s strengths to build the Kingdom. As a result, some of his greatest assets are deep relationships with others.

In the last three years, the church has experienced robust growth, nearly tripling in size now ministering to more than 3,000 people each week. Worship Music
Shane & Shane
Shane has cemented its status as one of contemporary Christian music’s most consistent, compelling and successful artists for nearly a decade. A staple on the fickle college circuit, the acoustic guitar-wielding duo has averaged 250-300 shows per year for most of its career. Between independent recordings, six studio releases and a combo CD/DVD live project, its tally hovers around a half-million records sold. It would be easy to let these statistics overshadow the essential reason Shane & Shane has come so far in the first place, but “the ministry of Shane & Shane is to just tell people about Jesus.”
